| | 21:1 | 大衛年間有饑荒、一連三年．大衛就求問耶和華。耶和華說、這饑荒是因掃羅、和他流人血之家、殺死基遍人。 | Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered, It is for Saul, and for his bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites. |
| | 21:2 | 原來這基遍人不是以色列人、乃是亞摩利人中所剩的．以色列人曾向他們起誓、不殺滅他們．掃羅卻為以色列人和猶大人發熱心、想要殺滅他們。大衛王召了他們來、 | And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.) |
| | 21:3 | 問他們說、我當為你們怎樣行呢．可用甚麼贖這罪、使你們為耶和華的產業祝福呢。 | Wherefore David said unto the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? and wherewith shall I make the atonement, that ye may bless the inheritance of the LORD? |
| | 21:4 | 基遍人回答說、我們和掃羅與他家的事並不關乎金銀．也不要因我們的緣故殺一個以色列人。大衛說、你們怎樣說、我就為你們怎樣行。 | And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. |
| | 21:5 | 他們對王說、那從前謀害我們、要滅我們、使我們不得再住以色列境內的人、 | And they answered the king, The man that consumed us, and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coasts of Israel, |
| | 21:6 | 現在願將他的子孫七人交給我們、我們好在耶和華面前、將他們懸掛在耶和華揀選掃羅的基比亞。王說、我必交給你們。 | Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us, and we will hang them up unto the LORD in Gibeah of Saul, whom the LORD did choose. And the king said, I will give them. |
| | 21:7 | 王因為曾與掃羅的兒子約拿單指着耶和華起誓結盟、就愛惜掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子米非波設、不交出來． | But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul. |
| | 21:8 | 卻把愛雅的女兒利斯巴給掃羅所生的兩個兒子、亞摩尼、米非波設、和掃羅女兒米甲的姐姐給米何拉人巴西萊兒子亞得列所生的五個兒子、 | But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite: |
| | 21:9 | 交在基遍人的手裏、基遍人就把他們在耶和華面前、懸掛在山上、這七人就一同死亡．被殺的時候、正是收割的日子、就是動手割大麥的時候。 | And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest. |
| | 21:10 | 愛雅的女兒利斯巴用麻布、在磐石上搭棚、從動手收割的時候、直到天降雨在屍身上的時候、日間不容空中的雀鳥落在屍身上、夜間不讓田野的走獸前來蹧踐。 | And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night. |
| | 21:11 | 有人將掃羅的妃嬪愛雅女兒利斯巴所行的這事告訴大衛。 | And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. |
| | 21:12 | 大衛就去、從基列雅比人那裏將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨搬了來．是因非利士人從前在基利波殺掃羅、將屍身懸掛在伯珊的街市上、基列雅比人把屍身偷了去． | And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, which had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines had slain Saul in Gilboa: |
| | 21:13 | 大衛將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨從那裏搬了來、又收殮被懸掛七人的骸骨． | And he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son; and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. |
| | 21:14 | 將掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨葬在便雅憫的洗拉、在掃羅父親基士的墳墓裏。眾人行了王所吩咐的．此後 神垂聽國民所求的。 | And the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the sepulchre of Kish his father: and they performed all that the king commanded. And after that God was intreated for the land. |
| | 21:15 | 非利士人與以色列人打仗、大衛帶領僕人下去、與非利士人接戰．大衛就疲乏了。 | Moreover the Philistines had yet war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines: and David waxed faint. |
| | 21:16 | 偉人的一個兒子以實比諾要殺大衛．他的銅槍重三百舍客勒、又佩着新刀。 | And Ishbibenob, which was of the sons of the giant, the weight of whose spear weighed three hundred shekels of brass in weight, he being girded with a new sword, thought to have slain David. |
| | 21:17 | 但洗魯雅的兒子亞比篩幫助大衛、攻打非利士人、將他殺死。當日跟隨大衛的人向大衛起誓、說、以後你不可再與我們一同出戰．恐怕熄滅以色列的燈。 | But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David sware unto him, saying, Thou shalt go no more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light of Israel. |
| | 21:18 | 後來以色列人在歌伯與非利士人打仗．戶沙人西比該殺了偉人的一個兒子撒弗。 | And it came to pass after this, that there was again a battle with the Philistines at Gob: then Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Saph, which was of the sons of the giant. |
| | 21:19 | 又在歌伯與非利士人打仗．伯利恆人雅雷俄珥金的兒子伊勒哈難殺了迦特人歌利亞．這人的槍杆粗如織布的機軸。 | And there was again a battle in Gob with the Philistines, where Elhanan the son of Jaareoregim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. |
| | 21:20 | 又在迦特打仗．那裏有一個身量高大的人、手腳都是六指、共有二十四個指頭．他也是偉人的兒子。 | And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant. |
| | 21:21 | 這人向以色列人罵陣、大衛的哥哥示米亞的兒子約拿單就殺了他。 | And when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah the brother of David slew him. |
| | 21:22 | 這四個人是迦特偉人的兒子．都死在大衛和他僕人的手下。 | These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants. |
