| | 2:8 | 以利亞將自己的外衣捲起來、用以打水、水就左右分開、二人走乾地而過。 | And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. |
| | 2:9 | 過去之後、以利亞對以利沙說、我未曾被接去離開你、你要我為你作甚麼只管求我。以利沙說、願感動你的靈加倍的感動我。 | And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. |
| | 2:10 | 以利亞說、你所求的難得、雖然如此、我被接去離開你的時候、你若看見我、就必得着．不然、必得不着了。 | And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. |
| | 2:11 | 他們正走着說話、忽有火車火馬、將二人隔開、以利亞就乘旋風昇天去了。 | And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. |
| | 2:12 | 以利沙看見、就呼叫說、我父阿、我父阿、以色列的戰車馬兵阿。以後不再見他了．於是以利沙把自己的衣服撕為兩片。 | And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. |
| | 2:13 | 他拾起以利亞身上掉下來的外衣、回去站在約但河邊。 | He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; |
| | 2:14 | 他用以利亞身上掉下來的外衣、打水、說、耶和華、以利亞的 神在哪裏呢。打水之後、水也左右分開、以利沙就過來了。 | And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. |
| | 2:15 | 住耶利哥的先知門徒從對面看見他、就說、感動以利亞的靈感動以利沙了。他們就來迎接他、在他面前俯伏於地、 | And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him. |
| | 2:16 | 對他說、僕人們這裏有五十個壯士．求你容他們去尋找你師傅、或者耶和華的靈將他提起來、投在某山某谷。以利沙說、你們不必打發人去。 | And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. |
| | 2:17 | 他們再三催促他、他難以推辭、就說、你們打發人去罷。他們便打發五十人去、尋找了三天、也沒有找着。 | And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. |
| | 2:18 | 以利沙仍然在耶利哥、等候他們回到他那裏．他對他們說、我豈沒有告訴你們、不必去麼。 | And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not? |
| | 2:19 | 耶利哥城的人對以利沙說、這城的地勢美好、我主看見了．只是水惡劣、土產不熟而落。 | And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. |
| | 2:20 | 以利沙說、你們拿一個新瓶來裝鹽給我、他們就拿來給他。 | And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. |
| | 2:21 | 他出到水源、將鹽倒在水中、說、耶和華如此說、我治好了這水、從此必不再使人死、也不再使地土不生產。 | And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. |
| | 2:22 | 於是那水治好了、直到今日、正如以利沙所說的。 | So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. |
| | 2:23 | 以利沙從那裏上伯特利去．正上去的時候、有些童子從城裏出來、戲笑他、說、禿頭的上去罷、禿頭的上去罷。 | And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. |
| | 2:24 | 他回頭看見、就奉耶和華的名咒詛他們。於是有兩個母熊從林中出來、撕裂他們中間四十二個童子。 | And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. |
| | 2:25 | 以利沙從伯特利上迦密山、又從迦密山回到撒瑪利亞。 | And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria. |
