| | 18:2 | 賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方．因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那裏去聚集。 | And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. |
| | 18:3 | 猶大領了一隊兵、和祭司長並法利賽人的差役、拿着燈籠、火把、兵器、就來到園裏。 | Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. |
| | 18:4 | 耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事、就出來、對他們說、你們找誰。 | Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? |
| | 18:5 | 他們回答說、找拿撒勒人耶穌。耶穌說、我就是。賣他的猶大也同他們站在那裏。 | They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. |
| | 18:6 | 耶穌一說我就是、他們就退後倒在地上。 | As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. |
| | 18:7 | 他又問他們說、你們找誰。他們說、找拿撒勒人耶穌。 | Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth. |
| | 18:8 | 耶穌說、我已經告訴你們、我就是．你們若找我、就讓這些人去罷。 | Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: |
| | 18:9 | 這要應驗耶穌從前的話、說、你所賜給我的人、我沒有失落一個。 | That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none. |
| | 18:10 | 西門彼得帶着一把刀、就拔出來、將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀、削掉他的右耳．那僕人名叫馬勒古。 | Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. |
| | 18:11 | 耶穌就對彼得說、收刀入鞘罷。我父所給我的那杯、我豈可不喝呢。 | Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? |
| | 18:12 | 那隊兵和千夫長並猶太人的差役、就拿住耶穌、把他捆綁了． | Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him, |
| | 18:13 | 先帶到亞那面前．因為亞那是本年作大祭司該亞法的岳父。 | And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year. |
| | 18:14 | 這該亞法、就是從前向猶太人發議論說、一個人替百姓死是有益的那位。 | Now Caiaphas was he, which gave counsel to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. |
| | 18:15 | 西門彼得跟着耶穌、還有一個門徒跟着．那門徒是大祭司所認識的．他就同耶穌進了大祭司的院子。 | And Simon Peter followed Jesus, and so did another disciple: that disciple was known unto the high priest, and went in with Jesus into the palace of the high priest. |
| | 18:16 | 彼得卻站在門外．大祭司所認識的那個門徒出來、和看門的使女說了一聲、就領彼得進去。 | But Peter stood at the door without. Then went out that other disciple, which was known unto the high priest, and spake unto her that kept the door, and brought in Peter. |
| | 18:17 | 那看門的使女對彼得說、你不也是這人的門徒麼．他說、我不是。 | Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I am not. |
| | 18:18 | 僕人和差役、因為天冷、就生了炭火、站在那裏烤火．彼得也同他們站着烤火。 | And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. |
| | 18:19 | 大祭司就以耶穌的門徒和他的教訓盤問他。 | The high priest then asked Jesus of his disciples, and of his doctrine. |
| | 18:20 | 耶穌回答說、我從來是明明的對世人說話．我常在會堂和殿裏、就是猶太人聚集的地方、教訓人．我在暗地裏、並沒有說甚麼。 | Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. |
| | 18:21 | 你為甚麼問我呢．可以問那聽見的人、我對他們說的是甚麼．我所說的、他們都知道。 | Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said. |
| | 18:22 | 耶穌說了這話、旁邊站着的一個差役、用手掌打他說、你這樣回答大祭司麼。 | And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Jesus with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou the high priest so? |
| | 18:23 | 耶穌說、我若說的不是、你可以指證那不是．我若說的是、你為甚麼打我呢。 | Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me? |
| | 18:24 | 亞那就把耶穌解到大祭司該亞法那裏、仍是捆着解去的。 | Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest. |
| | 18:25 | 西門彼得正站着烤火、有人對他說、你不也是他的門徒麼。彼得不承認、說、我不是。 | And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not. |
| | 18:26 | 有大祭司的一個僕人、是彼得削掉耳朵那人的親屬、說、我不是看見你同他在園子裏麼。 | One of the servants of the high priest, being his kinsman whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him? |
| | 18:27 | 彼得又不承認．立時雞就叫了。 | Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew. |
| | 18:28 | 眾人將耶穌、從該亞法那裏往衙門內解去．那時天還早．他們自己卻不進衙門、恐怕染了污穢、不能喫逾越節的筵席。 | Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover. |
| | 18:29 | 彼拉多就出來、到他們那裏、說、你們告這人是為甚麼事呢。 | Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man? |
| | 18:30 | 他們回答說、這人若不是作惡的、我們就不把他交給你。 | They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. |
| | 18:31 | 彼拉多說、你們自己帶他去、按着你們的律法審問他罷。猶太人說、我們沒有殺人的權柄。 | Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death: |
| | 18:32 | 這要應驗耶穌所說、自己將要怎樣死的話了。 | That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should die. |
| | 18:33 | 彼拉多又進了衙門、叫耶穌來、對他說、你是猶太人的王麼。 | Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? |
| | 18:34 | 耶穌回答說、這話是你自己說的、還是別人論我對你說的呢。 | Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? |
| | 18:35 | 彼拉多說、我豈是猶太人呢．你本國的人和祭司長、把你交給我．你作了甚麼事呢。 | Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? |
| | 18:36 | 耶穌回答說、我的國不屬這世界．我的國若屬這世界、我的臣僕必要爭戰、使我不至於被交給猶太人．只是我的國不屬這世界。 | Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. |
| | 18:37 | 彼拉多就對他說、這樣、你是王麼。耶穌回答說、你說我是王．我為此而生、也為此來到世間、特為給真理作見證．凡屬真理的人、就聽我的話。 | Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. |
| | 18:38 | 彼拉多說、真理是甚麼呢。說了這話、又出來到猶太人那裏、對他們說、我查不出他有甚麼罪來。 | Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all. |
| | 18:39 | 但你們有個規矩、在逾越節要我給你們釋放一個人、你們要我給你們釋放猶太人的王麼。 | But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? |
| | 18:40 | 他們又喊着說、不要這人、要巴拉巴。這巴拉巴是個強盜。 | Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber. |
