| | 5:1 | 推羅王希蘭、平素愛大衛．他聽見以色列人膏所羅門、接續他父親作王、就差遣臣僕來見他。 | And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David. |
| | 5:2 | 所羅門也差遣人去見希蘭、說、 | And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying, |
| | 5:3 | 你知道我父親大衛、因四圍的爭戰、不能為耶和華他 神的名建殿、直等到耶和華使仇敵都服在他腳下。 | Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet. |
| | 5:4 | 現在耶和華我的 神使我四圍平安、沒有仇敵、沒有災禍。 | But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent. |
| | 5:5 | 我定意要為耶和華我 神的名建殿．是照耶和華應許我父親大衛的話、說、我必使你兒子接續你坐你的位、他必為我的名建殿。 | And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name. |
| | 5:6 | 所以求你吩咐你的僕人、在利巴嫩為我砍伐香柏木、我的僕人也必幫助他們．我必照你所定的、給你僕人的工價．因為你知道、在我們中間沒有人像西頓人善於砍伐樹木。 | Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians. |
| | 5:7 | 希蘭聽見所羅門的話、就甚喜悅、說、今日應當稱頌耶和華、因他賜給大衛一個有智慧的兒子、治理這眾多的民。 | And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people. |
| | 5:8 | 希蘭打發人去見所羅門、說、你差遣人向我所提的那事、我都聽見了．論到香柏木和松木、我必照你的心願而行。 | And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir. |
| | 5:9 | 我的僕人必將這木料從利巴嫩運到海裏、紮成筏子、浮海運到你所指定我的地方、在那裏拆開、你就可以收取．你也要成全我的心願、將食物給我的家。 | My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household. |
| | 5:10 | 於是希蘭照着所羅門所要的、給他香柏木和松木。 | So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire. |
| | 5:11 | 所羅門給希蘭麥子二萬歌珥、清油二十歌珥、作他家的食物．所羅門每年都是這樣給希蘭。 | And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year. |
| | 5:12 | 耶和華照着所應許的、賜智慧給所羅門．希蘭與所羅門和好、彼此立約。 | And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together. |
| | 5:13 | 所羅門王從以色列人中、挑取服苦的人、共有三萬． | And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men. |
| | 5:14 | 派他們輪流、每月一萬人上利巴嫩去．一個月在利巴嫩、兩個月在家裏．亞多尼蘭掌管他們。 | And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy. |
| | 5:15 | 所羅門用七萬扛抬的、八萬在山上鑿石頭的． | And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains; |
| | 5:16 | 此外所羅門用三千三百督工的、監管工人。 | Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work. |
| | 5:17 | 王下令、人就鑿出又大又寶貴的石頭來、用以立殿的根基。 | And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house. |
| | 5:18 | 所羅門的匠人、和希蘭的匠人、並迦巴勒人、都將石頭鑿好、預備木料和石頭建殿。 | And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house. |
