| | 13:2 | 在耶路撒冷作王三年．他母親名叫米該亞、〔米該亞又作瑪迦〕是基比亞人烏列的女兒。亞比雅常與耶羅波安爭戰。 | He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. |
| | 13:3 | 有一次亞比雅率領挑選的兵四十萬擺陣、都是勇敢的戰士．耶羅波安也挑選大能的勇士八十萬、對亞比雅擺陣。 | And Abijah set the battle in array with an army of valiant men of war, even four hundred thousand chosen men: Jeroboam also set the battle in array against him with eight hundred thousand chosen men, being mighty men of valour. |
| | 13:4 | 亞比雅站在以法蓮山地中的洗瑪臉山上、說、耶羅波安和以色列眾人哪、要聽我說、 | And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel; |
| | 13:5 | 耶和華以色列的 神曾立鹽約、〔鹽即不廢壞的意思〕將以色列國永遠賜給大衛和他的子孫、你們不知道麼。 | Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt? |
| | 13:6 | 無奈大衛兒子所羅門的臣僕、尼八兒子耶羅波安、起來背叛他的主人。 | Yet Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the servant of Solomon the son of David, is risen up, and hath rebelled against his lord. |
| | 13:7 | 有些無賴的匪徒聚集跟從他、逞強攻擊所羅門的兒子羅波安、那時羅波安還幼弱、不能抵擋他們。 | And there are gathered unto him vain men, the children of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not withstand them. |
| | 13:8 | 現在你們有意抗拒大衛子孫手下所治耶和華的國．你們的人也甚多、你們那裏又有耶羅波安為你們所造當作神的金牛犢。 | And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and ye be a great multitude, and there are with you golden calves, which Jeroboam made you for gods. |
| | 13:9 | 你們不是驅逐耶和華的祭司亞倫的後裔、和利未人麼．不是照着外邦人的惡俗為自己立祭司麼．無論何人牽一隻公牛犢、七隻公綿羊、將自己分別出來、就可作虛無之神的祭司。 | Have ye not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you priests after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods. |
| | 13:10 | 至於我們、耶和華是我們的 神、我們並沒有離棄他．我們有事奉耶和華的祭司、都是亞倫的後裔、並有利未人各盡其職。 | But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business: |
| | 13:11 | 每日早晚向耶和華獻燔祭、燒美香、又在精金的桌子上擺陳設餅．又有金燈臺和燈盞、每晚點起、因為我們遵守耶和華我們 神的命．惟有你們離棄了他。 | And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him. |
| | 13:12 | 率領我們的是 神、我們這裏也有 神的祭司、拿號向你們吹出大聲。以色列人哪、不要與耶和華你們列祖的 神爭戰．因你們必不能亨通。 | And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. |
| | 13:13 | 耶羅波安卻在猶大人的後頭設伏兵．這樣、以色列人在猶大人的前頭、伏兵在猶大人的後頭。 | But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them. |
| | 13:14 | 猶大人回頭觀看、見前後都有敵兵．就呼求耶和華、祭司也吹號。 | And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets. |
| | 13:15 | 於是猶大人吶喊．猶大人吶喊的時候、 神就使耶羅波安和以色列眾人、敗在亞比雅與猶大人面前。 | Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. |
| | 13:16 | 以色列人在猶大人面前逃跑． 神將他們交在猶大人手裏． | And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand. |
| | 13:17 | 亞比雅和他的軍兵大大殺戮以色列人．以色列人仆倒死亡的精兵有五十萬。 | And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. |
| | 13:18 | 那時、以色列人被制伏了、猶大人得勝、是因倚靠耶和華他們列祖的 神。 | Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers. |
| | 13:19 | 亞比雅追趕耶羅波安、攻取了他的幾座城、就是伯特利和屬伯特利的鎮市、耶沙拿和屬耶沙拿的鎮市、以法拉音〔或作以弗倫〕和屬以法拉音的鎮市。 | And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof. |
| | 13:20 | 亞比雅在世的時候、耶羅波安不能再強盛．耶和華攻擊他、他就死了。 | Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died. |
| | 13:21 | 亞比雅卻漸漸強盛、娶妻妾十四個、生了二十二個兒子、十六個女兒。 | But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters. |
| | 13:22 | 亞比雅其餘的事、和他的言行、都寫在先知易多的傳上。 | And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo. |
