| | 88:2 | 願我的禱告達到你面前．求你側耳聽我的呼求． | Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; |
| | 88:3 | 因為我心裏滿了患難、我的性命臨近陰間。 | For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave. |
| | 88:4 | 我算和下坑的人同列、如同無力的人一樣。〔無力或作沒有幫助〕 | I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength: |
| | 88:5 | 我被丟在死人中、好像被殺的人、躺在墳墓裏．他們是你不再記念的、與你隔絕了。 | Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand. |
| | 88:6 | 你把我放在極深的坑裏、在黑暗地方、在深處。 | Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. |
| | 88:7 | 你的忿怒重壓我身．你用一切的波浪困住我。〔細拉〕 | Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah. |
| | 88:8 | 你把我所認識的隔在遠處、使我為他們所憎惡．我被拘困、不得出來。 | Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. |
| | 88:9 | 我的眼睛、因困苦而乾癟。耶和華阿、我天天求告你、向你舉手。 | Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. |
| | 88:10 | 你豈要行奇事給死人看麼．難道陰魂還能起來稱讚你麼．〔細拉〕 | Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. |
| | 88:11 | 豈能在墳墓裏述說你的慈愛麼．豈能在滅亡中述說你的信實麼． | Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? |
| | 88:12 | 你的奇事、豈能在幽暗裏被知道麼．你的公義豈能在忘記之地被知道麼。 | Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness? |
| | 88:13 | 耶和華阿、我呼求你．我早晨的禱告要達到你面前。 | But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee. |
| | 88:14 | 耶和華阿、你為何丟棄我．為何掩面不顧我。 | LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? |
| | 88:15 | 我自幼受苦、幾乎死亡．我受你的驚恐、甚至慌張。 | I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. |
| | 88:16 | 你的烈怒漫過我身．你的驚嚇、把我剪除。 | Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off. |
| | 88:17 | 這些終日如水環繞我、一齊都來圍困我。 | They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together. |
| | 88:18 | 你把我的良朋密友隔在遠處、使我所認識的人、進入黑暗裏。 | Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness. |
