| | 19:1 | 耶和華如此說、你去買窰匠的瓦瓶、又帶百姓中的長老、和祭司中的長老、 | Thus saith the LORD, Go and get a potter's earthen bottle, and take of the ancients of the people, and of the ancients of the priests; |
| | 19:2 | 出去到欣嫩子谷、哈珥西〔哈珥西就是瓦片的意思〕的門口那裏、宣告我所吩咐你的話、 | And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee, |
| | 19:3 | 說、猶大君王、和耶路撒冷的居民哪、當聽耶和華的話．萬軍之耶和華以色列的 神如此說、我必使災禍臨到這地方、凡聽見的人都必耳鳴． | And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle. |
| | 19:4 | 因為他們和他們列祖、並猶大君王離棄我、將這地方看為平常、在這裏向素不認識的別神燒香、又使這地方滿了無辜人的血． | Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; |
| | 19:5 | 又建築巴力的丘壇、好在火中焚燒自己的兒子、作為燔祭獻給巴力．這不是我所吩咐的、不是我所提說的、也不是我心所起的意。 | They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: |
| | 19:6 | 耶和華說、因此、日子將到、這地方不再稱為陀斐特、和欣嫩子谷、反倒稱為殺戮谷。 | Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of slaughter. |
| | 19:7 | 我必在這地方、使猶大和耶路撒冷的計謀落空、也必使他們在仇敵面前倒於刀下、並尋索其命的人手下．他們的屍首我必給空中的飛鳥、和地上的野獸作食物。 | And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. |
| | 19:8 | 我必使這城、令人驚駭嗤笑．凡經過的人、必因這城所遭的災、驚駭嗤笑。 | And I will make this city desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof. |
| | 19:9 | 我必使他們在圍困窘迫之中、就是仇敵和尋索其命的人窘迫他們的時候、各人喫自己兒女的肉、和朋友的肉。 | And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every one the flesh of his friend in the siege and straitness, wherewith their enemies, and they that seek their lives, shall straiten them. |
| | 19:10 | 你要在同去的人眼前、打碎那瓶、 | Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee, |
| | 19:11 | 對他們說、萬軍之耶和華如此說、我要照樣打碎這民、和這城、正如人打碎窰匠的瓦器、以致不能再囫圇．並且人要在陀斐特葬埋屍首、甚至無處可葬。 | And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter's vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury. |
| | 19:12 | 耶和華說、我必向這地方、和其中的居民如此行、使這城與陀斐特一樣。 | Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city as Tophet: |
| | 19:13 | 耶路撒冷的房屋、和猶大君王的宮殿、是已經被玷污的、就是他們在其上向天上的萬象燒香、向別神澆奠祭的宮殿房屋、都必與陀斐特一樣。 | And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods. |
| | 19:14 | 耶利米從陀斐特、就是耶和華差他去說預言的地方、回來站在耶和華殿的院中、對眾人說、 | Then came Jeremiah from Tophet, whither the LORD had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the LORD's house; and said to all the people, |
| | 19:15 | 萬軍之耶和華以色列的 神如此說、我必使我所說的一切災禍臨到這城、和屬城的一切城邑、因為他們硬着頸項、不聽我的話。 | Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words. |
