| | 4:3 | 耶和華對猶大和耶路撒冷人如此說、要開墾你們的荒地、不要撒種在荊棘中。 | For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. |
| | 4:4 | 猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪、你們當自行割禮、歸耶和華、將心裏的污穢除掉．恐怕我的忿怒、因你們的惡行發作、如火着起、甚至無人能以熄滅。 | Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. |
| | 4:5 | 你們當傳揚在猶大、宣告在耶路撒冷、說、你們當在國中吹角、高聲呼叫說、你們當聚集、我們好進入堅固城。 | Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities. |
| | 4:6 | 應當向錫安豎立大旗．要逃避、不要遲延．因我必使災禍、與大毀滅、從北方來到。 | Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. |
| | 4:7 | 有獅子從密林中上來、是毀壞列國的．他已經動身、出離本處、要使你的地荒涼、使你的城邑變為荒場、無人居住。 | The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. |
| | 4:8 | 因此你們當腰束麻布、大聲哀號．因為耶和華的烈怒、沒有向我們轉消。 | For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us. |
| | 4:9 | 耶和華說、到那時君王和首領的心、都要消滅．祭司都要驚奇、先知都要詫異。 | And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder. |
| | 4:10 | 我說、哀哉、主耶和華阿、你真是大大的欺哄這百姓和耶路撒冷、說、你們必得平安．其實刀劍害及性命了。 | Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul. |
| | 4:11 | 那時、必有話對這百姓和耶路撒冷說、有一陣熱風、從曠野淨光的高處、向我的眾民〔原文作民女〕颳來、不是為簸揚、也不是為揚淨． | At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high places in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse, |
| | 4:12 | 必有一陣更大的風、從這些地方為我颳來．現在我又必發出判語、攻擊他們。 | Even a full wind from those places shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them. |
| | 4:13 | 看哪、仇敵必如雲上來、他的戰車如旋風、他的馬匹比鷹更快。我們有禍了．我們敗落了。 | Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled. |
| | 4:14 | 耶路撒冷阿、你當洗去心中的惡、使你可以得救．惡念存在你心裏、要到幾時呢。 | O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee? |
| | 4:15 | 有聲音從但傳揚、從以法蓮山報禍患． | For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth affliction from mount Ephraim. |
| | 4:16 | 你們當傳給列國、報告攻擊耶路撒冷的事、說、有探望的人、從遠方來到、向猶大的城邑、大聲吶喊。 | Make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, that watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah. |
| | 4:17 | 他們周圍攻擊耶路撒冷、好像看守田園的、因為他背叛了我．這是耶和華說的。 | As keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD. |
| | 4:18 | 你的行動、你的作為、招惹這事．這是你罪惡的結果．實在是苦、是害及你心了。 | Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart. |
| | 4:19 | 我的肺腑阿、我的肺腑阿、我心疼痛．我心在我裏面、煩躁不安．我不能靜默不言．因為我已經聽見角聲、和打仗的喊聲。 | My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. |
| | 4:20 | 毀壞的信息連絡不絕．因為全地荒廢．我的帳棚、忽然毀壞、我的幔子、頃刻破裂。 | Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, and my curtains in a moment. |
| | 4:21 | 我看見大旗、聽見角聲、要到幾時呢。 | How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? |
| | 4:22 | 耶和華說、我的百姓愚頑、不認識我．他們是愚昧無知的兒女．有智慧行惡、沒有知識行善。 | For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. |
| | 4:23 | 先知說、我觀看地、不料、地是空虛混沌、我觀看天、天也無光。 | I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. |
| | 4:24 | 我觀看大山、不料、盡都震動、小山也都搖來搖去。 | I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. |
| | 4:25 | 我觀看、不料、無人、空中的飛鳥也都躲避。 | I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. |
| | 4:26 | 我觀看、不料、肥田變為荒地、一切城邑在耶和華面前、因他的烈怒、都被拆毀。 | I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger. |
| | 4:27 | 耶和華如此說、全地必然荒涼、我卻不毀滅淨盡。 | For thus hath the LORD said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. |
| | 4:28 | 因此、地要悲哀、在上的天、也必黑暗．因為我言已出、我意已定、必不後悔、也不轉意不作。 | For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it. |
| | 4:29 | 各城的人、因馬兵和弓箭手的響聲、就都逃跑、進入密林、爬上磐石．各城被撇下、無人住在其中。 | The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell therein. |
| | 4:30 | 你淒涼的時候要怎樣行呢．你雖穿上朱紅衣服、佩戴黃金裝飾、用顏料修飾眼目、這樣標緻、是枉然的．戀愛你的藐視你、並且尋索你的性命。 | And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life. |
| | 4:31 | 我聽見有聲音、彷彿婦人產難的聲音、好像生頭胎疼痛的聲音、是錫安女子的聲音．〔女子就是指民的意思〕他喘着氣、挓莎手、說、我有禍了．在殺人的跟前、我的心發昏了。 | For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers. |
