甘美中最甘美的，我感謝你。當不歡愉
　　經過我的身軀傷害我的心靈，
你帶我去你那裏，在你歡樂的家
　　給我一個優雅的住處，

現在我行動脫離軀殼，
　　隨着你的翅膀升降翱翔：
我們同在一起相愛生活，
　　你說，有時神幫助可憐的君王。

安慰，我將死；如果你離開去，
　　我必定死亡，且更長遠無望：
若我有你同行同往，
　　你知道天堂之門的道路。

Sweetest of sweets, I thank you. When displeasure
　　Did through my body wound my mind,
You took me thence, and in your house of pleasure
　　A dainty lodging me assigned,

Now I in you without a body move,
