| 11:1 | 拿瑪人瑣法回答說、 | Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said, |
| 11:2 | 這許多的言語、豈不該回答麼.多嘴多舌的人、豈可稱為義麼。 | Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? |
| 11:3 | 你誇大的話、豈能使人不作聲麼.你戲笑的時候、豈沒有人叫你害羞麼。 | Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? |
| 11:4 | 你說、我的道理純全、我在你眼前潔淨。 | For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes. |
| 11:5 | 惟願 神說話、願他開口攻擊你。 | But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee; |
| 11:6 | 並將智慧的奧秘指示你.他有諸般的智識。所以當知道 神追討你、比你罪孽該得的還少。 | And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. |
| 11:7 | 你考察、就能測透 神麼.你豈能盡情測透全能者麼。 | Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? |
| 11:8 | 他的智慧高於天、你還能作甚麼.深於陰間、你還能知道甚麼。 | It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? |
| 11:9 | 其量、比地長、比海寬。 | The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. |
| 11:10 | 他若經過、將人拘禁、招人受審、誰能阻擋他呢。 | If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? |
| 11:11 | 他本知道虛妄的人.人的罪孽、他雖不留意、還是無所不見。 | For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it? |
| 11:12 | 空虛的人、卻毫無知識、人生在世好像野驢的駒子。 | For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt. |
| 11:13 | 你若將心安正、又向主舉手. | If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; |
| 11:14 | 你手裏若有罪孽、就當遠遠的除掉、也不容非義住在你帳棚之中。 | If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles. |
| 11:15 | 那時、你必仰起臉來、毫無斑點.你也必堅固、無所懼怕。 | For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear: |
| 11:16 | 你必忘記你的苦楚、就是想起也如流過去的水一樣。 | Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away: |
| 11:17 | 你在世的日子、要比正午更明.雖有黑暗、仍像早晨。 | And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. |
| 11:18 | 你因有指望、就必穩固.也必四圍巡查、坦然安息。 | And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety. |
| 11:19 | 你躺臥無人驚嚇、且有許多人向你求恩。 | Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee. |
| 11:20 | 但惡人的眼目必要失明、他們無路可逃.他們的指望就是氣絕。 | But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost. |
